Correspondence of Benjamin Silliman

Excerpt from Correspondence Sent to Benjamin Silliman from the Commercial Bank, San Francisco, April 16, 1875

Benjamin Silliman, 1816-1885, was a chemist and a professor at Yale, from 1853. He was the son of Benjamin Silliman, also a chemist, geologist, and Yale professor, 1802-1852. The collection contains letters from George A. Treadwell and others, relating to mining ventures in Arizona, with 2 post cards, a drawing, and 2 newspaper clippings. Also included are two letters to George Treadwell.
