Letter to Mrs. John W. Mayes from Arizona Pioneers' Home, December 22, 1938

Mikul G. Levy was a pioneer, shop-keeper, and postmaster in Ajo, AZ. The collection contains an original typescript letter to Mrs. John W. Mayes describing his mining and mercantile activities in Nogales and Ajo, AZ from 1883 to 1931, including his business dealings with Albert Steinfeld, Randall Ore Reduction Company, Cornelia and Rescue Company, C & A Mining Company, and Ajo Consolidated Copper Company. The collection also includes a letter of transmittal to Bernard Fontana, in which Mrs. George Peterson describes an anecdote about Mr. Sam Clark, the founder of Clarkston, Arizona, and a trip he made from Clarkston, AZ to Los Angeles, CA.
