Stone Structures of Navajos

John Henry Holst was the Supervisor of Indian Education for the U.S. Department of the Interior from 1928 to 1943.

The collection contains an original typescript with holograph corrections, written in 1950, concerning primarily education on the Navajo Indian Reservation during the 1930s and early 1940s. Includes seven photographs of chapter houses and members of the Navajo tribe in western New Mexico and east central Arizona taken in the 1930s.
