Antonio de los Reyes (1729-1787) was a Spanish Franciscan and consecrated consecrated as the first Bishop of Sonora, Sinaloa, and the two Californias in 1782.

The collection includes photocopies of typed transcriptions. Some are royal orders from 1784-1786, directed to Bishop Antonio de los Reyes, concerning the custodial settlement of the missions and missionaries. The individual documents are noted as being copies and signed by the officials Miguel Antonio Cuevas at Alamos and Christoval Carvalan at Arizpe. Also includes some letters from Reyes to Viceroy Martías de Galvez about the urgent need to establish the Custodia of San Carlos. The final section has reports for Visitor General José de Gálvez.
