Edwin Tewksbury was a rancher in Pleasant Valley, Arizona Territory and a leader of one faction in the 1880s Pleasant Valley War. He was arrested in 1892 and charged with the murder of Tom Graham, a leader of the rival faction. 

The collection contains a typescript of a court reporter's transcript of the preliminary examination of the case Territory of Arizona (plaintiff) v. Edwin Tewksbury (defendant) before H.O. Wharton, Justice of the Peace, Phoenix Precinct, Maricopa County, Arizona Territory, on Aug. 29-Sept. 8, 1892. Transcript by William W. Weed, Official Reporter. Also includes a name index to witness testimony.
