Title

Through the Grand Canyon from Wyoming to Mexico

Description

Many a Grand Canyon story begins with “The Kolb brothers . . . .,” and most of them are true. This is the incredible story of their 1912 rowboat trip down the Colorado River from Wyoming to Needles, California, and then a second leg in 1913 to its final sweep into the Mexican delta. The still photographs illustrate this book, which is a more thorough account of the trip, a splendid 1,700-mile voyage with all the elements of near-disaster, humor, discovery, and reflection. Such books greatly encouraged a rising Arizona industry—tourism.
