Arizona Architectural Archives records

Two black and white photographic views of a single storey residential structure with desert landscaping juxtaposed with one 8.5 x 11 inch catalog entry sheet on white paper. One 8.5 x 11 inch Arizona State Historic Property Inventory form on yellow paper.

The Arizona Architectural Archives records collection (AAA) includes organizational and collection records created by AAA administrators and affiliates from approximately 1981-2012. The collection contains organizational records, collection records, historic property inventory forms, original and photocopied correspondence, drawings, black & white photographs, photocopied publications and newspaper clippings, photocopied maps, and handwritten collection and research notes. The bulk of the records were created between 1981-1992.

The AAA was established in 1976 at the College of Architecture Library at the University of Arizona to preserve and make available documentation about prominent architects, builders, and architecturally significant structures in Arizona. After the closure of the College of Architecture Library circa the mid-2000s, collections were dispersed and a portion of the collections transferred to Special Collections in 2011.
