Excerpt from Correspondence Sent to Benjamin Silliman from the Commercial Bank, San Francisco, April 16, 1875

Benjamin Silliman (1816-1885) was a chemist and a professor at Yale beginning in 1853. He was the son of Benjamin Silliman Sr., who was also a chemist, geologist, and Yale professor working from 1802 to 1852.

The collection contains letters from George A. Treadwell and others, relating to mining ventures in Arizona, with 2 post cards, a drawing, and 2 newspaper clippings. Also included are two letters to George Treadwell.
