Hamlin Garland Letters

Letter to Orlando Rouland, 1917

Hamlin Garland (1860-1940) was a novelist, essayist, short story writer, and recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for biography in 1922.

The collection includes a portfolio containing 27 signed holograph letters and two cards  sent by Garland to Orlando Rouland and Mrs. Rouland, regarding Orlando's portrait of Garland. A black-and- white postcard depicts Garland's residence in Salem, WI.
