The collection contains notes from Frederick Laist, manager of Washoe Reduction Works, about the various smelters and mines visited throughout the United States, including a visit to the Copper Queen smelting works and the Calumet and Arizona smelting works in Douglas, AZ, Nov. 21-23, 1912. It also contains an index to the report and 14 blueprints of mining and smelting machinery.
