Papers of Mildred Taitt Milton

Letter to Mildred Taitt Milton's Husband

Mildred Taitt Milton (1879-1963) was a teacher and the wife of Arizona lawman Jefferson Davis Milton.

The collection includes letters, a marriage book, and a scrapbook. Most of the letters are from Milton to her husband, dating from 1919 to 1920, but there is a letter from Mildred to her sister Mrs. J.O. Sheldon, and two letters to Milton from former associates dated from 1936 to 1937. The marriage book is dated June 30, 1919 from Mildred and Jefferson’s wedding; the scrapbook was kept while Milton was a student at Vassar College from 1900 to 1901, and includes 16 photographs of family and friends.
