Letters from Paul Edward Jones

Paul Edward Jones joined the Navy during World War II. This collection includes letters written by Jones from the United States Naval Training Station in San Diego, CA; the Receiving Station (PSNY) in Bremerton, WA; the USN Radio Station at Port Blakely in Bainbridge Island, WA; the Receiving Station (Battalion 12, Barracks 1231) in Shoemaker, CA; and the Navy 3964 Fleet Post Office in San Francisco, CA.

Several of Jones' letters were written while he was stationed on ships in Australia (Adelaide River), the Philippines (Tacloban, Leyte, Philippine Islands), and other locations on the coast. The letters were written to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.V. Jones of Newberg, OR.
