Running Away: a Schoolmaster's Story

Dinah Maria Mulock Craik (1826-1887) was a British novelist and poet. She is best remembered for her novel John Halifax, Gentleman, which presents the ideals of English middle-class life.

The collection includes a holographic manuscript of the short story written by Dinah Maria Craik in Beckenham, KY. The material is written in ink and contains her edits. The plot consists of a schoolmaster and his sister discussing their favorite pupil with a visitor.
