Ruperto Jayme (1873?-1942) was a pioneer businessman with mining and mercantile interests in Sonoran desert region of Mexico and Arizona. The collection includes letters, bills, tax receipts, and related personal memorabilia from association with various mining companies, chiefly the Paymaster Consolidated Mines Co. and the Great Western Copper Co. Some papers relate to his mercantile business and activities in Sonora, AZ.
