Southwest Folklore Center Field Recordings Collection

Reel tape recordings produced by University of Arizona Folklore Committee members from 1943 through 1979, and tape reels produced or acquired by the Southwest Folklore Center thereafter. Predominately from southern Arizona, they include cowboy songs and music, oral history interviews, and corridos. The collection also includes 12 master studio tape reels recorded by Mexican American singer Lydia Mendoza.
