Excerpt from a Biography on William Vincent Whitmore, M.D., circa 1933

William Vincent Whitmore was a physician from Arizona and a member of the University of Arizona Board of Regents from 1897 to 1899 and 1914 to 1918.

The collection contains typescript and printed articles, speeches and pamphlets concerning medical research, the University of Arizona, the Tucson school system, and biographical sketches of himself, University presidents, and pioneer physicians. Sketches of prominent pioneer physicians include John C. Handy, George Emery Goodfellow, Leonard Wood, Adolphus H. Moon, and Hiram Fenner.
