Tucson Civil Rights Coalition records

Newspaper clippings from various regional papers discussing the fight for Civil Rights in Arizona.

The Tucson Civil Rights Coalition was a volunteer-based group of community organizations with a shared mission to improve the climate in Arizona for the advancement of civil rights. The Coalition formed in 1990 when six civil rights groups came together to examine the Arizona Civil Rights Division in Tucson. The Coalition successfully lobbied local governments and officials on civil rights related issues, and participated in various programs and events.

This collection includes articles and documents related to their work, as well as organizational records such as meeting agendas and organizational history.
