Gustavo Reveles Acosta, discusses in detail his efforts to protect journalists in Juarez after two journalists, one of them a colleague he knew well, were murdered. Acosta, a member of the El Paso Press Club, argues that despite having the border between them, the journalist community in Juarez and El Paso are very close and a sense of brotherhood permeates. Acosta also argues that any attack on a reporter or the press is an attack on freedom of speech and expression. Acosta illustrates the struggle of journalists who seek or are granted political asylum, including the financial burden since work is not allowed while being in the process of seeking asylum.

Gustavo Reveles Acosta habla en detalle sobre sus esfuerzos para proteger a periodistas en Juárez después que dos periodistas y otro conocido suyo fueron asesinados. Acosta, quien era miembro del El Paso Press Club (Club de la Prensa del El Paso), asegura que, a pesar de que El Paso y Juárez están separados por la frontera, la comunidad de periodistas en ambas ciudades mantienen buenas relaciones y un sentido de hermandad.
